The French Institute of Fashion is one of our partners for this second edition, and will host two events in her womb Festival on 17 and 20 November.

The French Fashion Institute (IFM) is a center for training, research and applied expertise in fashion-design-creation. Located on the banks of the Seine in the 13 th district, it is part of the architectural "Docks en Seine", born of the conversion of General Stores, which were among the earliest reinforced concrete buildings of the capital.

The IFM was born in 1986 at the initiative of the Ministry of Industry and Occupational textile and fashion. Carrefour and showcase of creation, its mission is to help promote the "Fashion and Design" Paris and France.

Events: The garment is honored head

The Festival will open this year at the French Institute of Fashion, a place of creation and design. Authors of yesterday and today will be gathered around the theme "The garment is honored."

On Wednesday, November 17, the Festival offers a reading of excerpts from novels and stories honoring the garment. The texts of Andersen, Balzac parade on the catwalk alongside more contemporary authors like Richard Millet ( The negative confession) , Jean-Jacques Schull ( Ingrid Caven) or Jean-Paul Dubois (A French life ) . Sometimes delicate and sensual, sometimes sarcastic and funny, these readings are hearing what we dare not ever see!

Our guest is the writer and psychoanalyst Philippe Grimbert. He will comment on the readings, including that of his novel La petite robe Paul, in which he tells the character's irresistible attraction to a lovely child's dress, seen in the window of a clothing store. One day, his wife Helen discovered this little garment hidden in the dressing room, causing a shock to the couple.

Books 2010 - 2nd edition

After the successful first edition in 2009, the festival of reading aloud "Music Head" has the 2010 edition which runs from November 17 to 20.

This second edition is organized by the Cultural Service of the students of the University Paris-Sorbonne (Paris IV) and delivery drivers, audio players, in partnership with France Culture, the College of the Universities of Paris, the City Council Paris, the French Institute of Fashion and the Central Fund for Social Activities Staff Electric and Gas Industries.

Many authors (in progress) are invited, different events are offered (Ta Page Nocturne, Dance at the Page, Literary Taste, It make me read) about
